Close to Home is a family-owned business founded in 1982. What started out as a little hole in the wall fabric store grew to the largest, most complete quilt shop in the Northeast. We have 3 locations: Glastonbury, CT,  Orange, CT, and Southington, CT, .

We carry a large collection of quality 100% cotton quilting fabrics, notions books, threads, and battings. We are also the Northeast's largest full-line sewing machine dealership. We carry Baby Lock, Brother, Bernina, Janome, Singer, White and Husqvarna.

We also offer professional home decorating through our CT Shade and Blind division. We offer a full line of blinds, shades, shutters, draperies and fabric. We manufacture Comfortex Honeycomb Shades, custom shutters from Norman Int'l and offer a faux wood blinds for the lowest price around.
